Do Not Call Solution
In 2003, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) amended the Telemarketing Sales Rule to give consumers the ability to opt-out of receiving most telemarketing calls. As a result, most companies (including seniors housing providers) from making telemarketing calls to any residential number that is on either (1) the national Do Not Call Registry or (2) the company's internal Do Not Call list that the rules require companies to keep. Telemarketers and sellers are required to scrub their call lists against the National Do Not Call Registry every 31 days.
